On behalf of the Strategic Action Planning Group on Aging (SAPGA) and Colorado Commission on Aging (CCOA), thank you for making time to attend the Future of Aging in Colorado Conference on June 16th, 2022, in Colorado Springs.

As many of you may know, June 30, 2022 marked the end of the work of the Strategic Action Planning Group on Aging. With the legislation modifying the Older Coloradans Act during the 2022 legislative session (HB22-1035), the work of implementation and further development of the Colorado Master Plan on Aging will continue under the direction of the soon to be newly appointed Commissioners to the Colorado Commission on Aging (CCOA) as directed by HB22-1035.

We were delighted to have nearly 200 in-person registrations and more than 200 virtual registrations for the conference. The registrations and attendance point to the interest and concern about older adults in Colorado and how we work to improve the lives of every aging Coloradan.

We will continue to reach out to you between now and when the new CCOA officially starts its work (on or after September 1, 2022) to keep you abreast of opportunities to connect and engage around aging issues.

Additionally, a final SAPGA plan with the Master Plan on Aging Matrix will be completed later this summer. When it is available, we will be emailing you an electronic copy.

Thank you!

We look forward to seeing and working with you in 2022 and beyond.
